Exported Blog Features images not showing up

    I exported the blogs (using the wp tools option) from a clients site and imported it into a new wordpress site and the featured images are not attached to each blog.

    The images are inside the posts just not the featured images. What am I doing wrong?

    Are you exporting this file via the default export method here? https://en.support.wordpress.com/export/

    At times, when the import is too large, we encounter errors such as the featured images not appearing in posts. What I suggest is exporting the file in smaller chunks and see if that solves the issue. Here is information on how to segment the export:
