Hi there,
When you take the export of your WordPress website, it creates an XML file at your designated location. All the content of the website goes in this XML file.
There are no separate folders created. All the data is just in 1 file.

Hi gertztechtc,
I would like to know where each text of menus goes when I export to Windows?
Would you be able to clarify what you mean by “exporting to Windows”? It sounds like you wish to export a copy of the content to keep on your computer, is that correct?

Hi Claudia,
For sites hosted on WordPress.com, we manage the WordPress installation including the files/folders such as
wp-content,wp-includes, etc. As such, we do not provide a backup of these files. You may backup your site using the XML export option mentioned above which will contain your post’s content and links to the media uploaded to your site. As long as your site is public, this file can be used to import the content into another WordPress site.
