Export/Import only effects partial blog transfer.

  I have used the Export/Import tool to transfer the blog content from theezthings.wordpress.com to lilydeyoung.wordpress.com. The categories were not included in the transfer and many blog posts were omitted as well (although associated media was transferred.) What should I try next?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  On lilydeyoung.wordpress.com, it looks like you have several posts currently in the trash:

  https://lilydeyoung.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=trash&post_type=post

  Could those be the missing posts that aren’t showing up from the export?

  Also, could you let me know what categories are not being transferred over? It looks like the two are matching up pretty closely:

  https://theezthings.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=category

  https://lilydeyoung.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=category

  I looked in the trash (as you suggested) and found the missing posts… about 12 of them. You solved the mystery of what happened. Thanks.

  Unfortunately, the process of repairing the “transfer” (rescuing posts from trash, restoring links and etc.) was so time consuming that I gave up and decided to leave the blog where it is. Disappointed to have spent many hours not accomplishing what I wanted to, which is not the fault of the support staff. Your response was quick and helpful.
