Export/Import site

  I have used my account to develop a website for a Charitable Foundation and now have created an account for the foundation so I can transfer the completed site. I setup an empty site on the new account (https://wordpress.com/stats/day/johnwallisfoundationorgau.wordpress.com) using the same template (IXION) and then exported the existing site and imported into the new account. Whilst all the elements (txt, images etc) are imported the layout is a mess: duplicate menu items, pages not formatted, images not inserted on pages, colours all wrong, etc. etc. Have I done something wrong or is this how the function is meant to work?

  Hi there, sorry for the wait. Are you still having this issue with johnwallisfoundationorgau.wordpress.com? I do see duplicate pages in the menu bar.

  Do you want Staff to clear out the import you uploaded so you can try again after they delete the existing content?

  Just let us know.

  Thanks for the response. I got some assistance from support and now have resolved the issue.
