  If I use the EXPORT feature does that actually remove the content from my page or does it make a copy? Thank you

  Hi livinglies,

  The export feature makes a copy of your content, it won’t remove it.
  When you click on the button “Export”, WordPress will create an XML file for you to save to your computer.

  This format, which is called WordPress eXtended RSS or WXR, will contain your posts, pages, comments, custom fields, categories, and tags.

  Once you’ve saved the download file, you can use the Import function in another WordPress installation to import the content from this site.

  That made the most sense so I was hoping that would be the answer. Thank you.

  After I export them, do you know how I can go about converting the comments to a format that can be changed? like with a word processing program. I read somewhere in the HELP! section that they discourage using Word b/c of formatting issues. Anything on this since you were so helpful on the other?
