Exporting a blog – how???

  Hiya,

  I’m having problems exporting my blog. The error message that comes up is:

  The XML page cannot be displayed
  Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

  Frustratingly, this appeared to be a problem for someone else on the forum a while ago but there was no indication of the resolution.

  PS I am using an updated version of FireFox

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  It looks like you’ve managed to export the file – it’s not meant to be opened in a browser; Try something like Notepad if you’re on Windows, or Textedit if your on a Mac.

  That’ll let you open it, but, really, you shouldn’t need to – what are you looking to do?

  Wanted to see what it looked like before moving it elsewhere. Does that mean I can’t view it until I’ve actually uploaded it somewhere else? Sorry for the clearly non-web- savvy question!

  The file contains text of your posts, pages, comments, categories, and tags in what’s called XML format. As Hanni said, you can open it using text editor software.
