Exporting and importing a wordpress to another wp

  I wan tto export the contents of one wordpress blog to another. I chose Export, then, in the other blog, I chose Import, after I had saved the exported file. Now, it says it is imported, but I see no imports whatsoever. Where is my Import?
  How do I get it to show up in my new blog so that I can delete the old one?
