  If I export my blog, will my wordpress.com site be deleted?

  Hi there — if you use our export feature (http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/), we create an export file (XML) of your content, which includes your posts, pages, comments, categories, and tags. (See the support page for more details.)

  This process simply exports your site’s content into a file; it doesn’t delete your site.
