Exporting blog in order to save it as a backup

  I have heard of people’s blogs being hacked and losing everything. So I want to back up my blog by exporting it. I’m wondering if I do that, will my original blog still remain? Does exporting it take away my current blog? I want to keep and continue my current blog, just also want to export it as back up.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi,

  Exporting your blog is just a way of copying the content so that you end up having your original blog and a “copy” of that blog. So, no, nothing will happen to your original blog.
