Exporting Content – Posts & Pages Missing
-
I exported all my content to a self-hosted WordPress site but all the pages and all posts from the past year are missing. I’m not sure yet about images. I’ve read some of the other forum posts on this topic but the post most similar to mine required assistance from a mod. Can someone please advise me on how to get a complete export? Thanks in advance.

Hi there,
I’m sorry you’re having troubles whit the exporter tool.
May I ask you if you selected the ‘All Content’ option when you were about to export the content? That option should make you export all of your posts, pages, comments, custom fields, terms, navigation menus and custom posts. If it so, you did well by tagging the thread for Staff assistance as you might need direct support from them. Just be a bit patient whilst they come back to you :)
I wish you a nice day meanwhile!

Correction on my original support question:
It’s not the past year of posts that are missing — it’s much more. Only 76 out of 496 posts exported out of wordpress.com -
Are you receiving a zip file via an email link as described here:

After days of being ignored here, I finally got someone to help me OFF the forum and if you are experiencing this same issue with exports, here is what you need to do…
Keep importing the xml files over and over. Each time it will import a little more of your content. If you reach a ceiling where you can’t seem to get any more posts, do another export of the posts ONLY and then import that over and over. Do the same for media, feedback and pages and eventually you will get all your content out of the export.
PS: WordPress.com should post this in the help files.
