  I am having trouble exporting my WordPress files it keeps telling me There was a problem preparing your export file. Please check your connection and try again, or contact support. I have a working wifi connection so not sure why it keeps saying this. please help

  Hi @ccfills1, could you let us know which site you are exporting? We can try from our end.

  Also, are you exporting the media or the content?

  Okay so I was able to export the data from my WordPress but now when I go to import the file else where it is telling me a error has occurred This does not appear to be a WXR file, missing/invalid WXR version number. what exactly does this mean and how can I go about fixing it?

  I just tried running the export from our end. Could you look for that and try it?

  Oh, I wanted to note as well, you may have better luck importing the site if your site is private. But you can also have your host help you manually upload media files, too.
