Exporting for a second time
-
I need to change my blog from wordpress.com to a Siteground server. Problem is, it’s the second time I’m doing it and I did not realize having wordpress export the site for you was a one-time only server. How do I get around it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can always export the content yourself: https://en.support.wordpress.com/export/
I have also tagged this thread so that it can be addressed by a staff member. This is on the chance that they can still help you with the export. Please make sure you are subscribed to this thread so that you know when the staff member responds. You can subscribe by clicking the “Subscribe to Topic” link on the right.

Hello there,
Ari W is right — you can always run your export with the instructions he provided.
In order to do this yourself, you can go to your site’s dashboard and click Tools → Export, or simply click the link below to go to that export page directly:

Thank you both. That would be a solution but it’s not working. I try to export everything and after a while there is just a blank page and no download occured of an xml file. Maybe the website is to big?

The exporter appears to be broken and for some time now we Volunteers have been tagging threads for Staff to do the exports. See export issue

Hi Jorge,
Sorry you’re still having trouble!
I ran the export for you and I’m sending you a private email with a link to download it now.
Keep an eye out :)
Thanks again, timethief!

@thatrobin
You’re welcome and also note that there are many reset importer threads lately too. -

My pleasure, Jorge!
Timethief — we’ll take a look at those and see what is going on. Thanks for the head’s up!
