Exporting Pages

I want to export two pages together. I tried changing them to pending and a file was created but I could not change it with my PDF program. Is there a better way to export groups of pages?

    Hi Pat,

The files that are created when you do an export are in XML format. This means that they cannot be read by humans, rather they are interpreted by software, such as our blogging platform. They aren’t readable by Adobe Acrobat.

Are you hoping to create a PDF of two WordPress.com pages so they appear as they do online?

If so, your best bet is to use the Print function and save as a PDF, or use an online application like this one: http://www.printfriendly.com/

Then, you can append one page to another by using this procedure:

I hope this helps! Take care.

Amazing. I have asked so many people about this and not one knew that I could save with PDF as a solution. The save did not tell me where it was being saved or what the file name was so I could search for it. Will you please give me this information? Thanks for this information.

I tried the PrintFriendly link which sounded like the best solution since it removed extra things on the page, i.e., prepared print-friendly. It only gave me the lower part of the post where revisions were listed. Any suggestions?

Ah, solved the problem. Works great! I was in edit mode but needed to convert the page from viewing mode. Thanks again for your help.

    Hey Pat!

That’s terrific. I’m so glad it worked out for you. It’s a tool I only recently learned about myself!

Let me know if you have any other questions. Cheers!
