Exporting Problem
-
I want to move my WordPress.com blog to WordPress.org and so am trying to transfer the material. I went into Tools and then Export. After I click the button to do the export, it appears to be working for a while and then goes to a screen that says that the page that I want does not exist. I don’t see the file in my downloads folder. What should I do?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Can you confirm that the site you’re trying to export is livingcleaninadirtyworld.wordpress.com? I can send you a download link once you’ve confirmed. :)

Can you just tell me how to do it? Because I am following the instructions and it’s not working.

Staff need you to answer the question posed above.
Can you confirm that the site you’re trying to export is livingcleaninadirtyworld.wordpress.com?
Please do that now.

I’m not interested in having someone do an export and then send the file to me. I want instructions on how to do it myself since – as I said – the instructions that are on the site are not working. But thanks anyway.

The reason why I’m offering to send you a download link is that most browsers can’t handle the export process if you have a lot of content to export. However, I just took a look and you probably wouldn’t have any issue doing this export yourself. Here are our directions for exporting your site:
If it continues to fail, it likely just means you’re running to this browser issue, which I can work around from our end. I’ll just send you a link to where the export file is saved on our servers, that way the browser isn’t doing any of the heavy lifting.
