  I am a professional web developer. If I create a site for a client through your system and later he wants to take the site and host it elsewhere, is that possible or do they have to continue to host with you?

  Yes, it is possible to export a WordPress.com site to a self- hosted WordPress.org site. The process is explained here:

  Do yiu also support WooCommerce or some other eCommerce functionality?

  Here at WordPress.com, there is no real e-commerce solution. You can <ahref=”https://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/get-paypal-button-code/”>get a PayPal button. If you get a PayPal button, you’ll be able to sell individual items on your site and send your customers to a PayPal payment screen. WooCommerce is a function for WordPress.org.
