Exporting wordpress.com files and database

  I have been using the free wordpress.com service for my simple website. I now need to buy a domain name and move my webpages to a paid hosting site. I can export my wordpress.com text and media files via the dashboard. BUT how do I export the wordpress.com database files in order to migrate the website?
