Exporting WordPress posts to WIX website blog

  I have tried to import my WordPress blog into WIx. Wix technical support have tried to help me with this but have identified a problem at WordPress end so to speak and have asked me to contact you.

  this is the answer that i received from Wix technical support when they tried to import from my wordpress site:

  Please note that in order for our importer tool to work it needs to access the site’s file with all blog posts, or simply JSON file.

  When entering your WordPress URL in the field, our tool scan your site and try to access a simple URL: domain.com/wp-json/wp/v2/posts. I went ahead and tried accessing the file, however i was not able to. It simply redirected me to the posts page:

  This shows that the issue is originated from WordPress. Please contact them and clarify what could be the reason of the issue. Make sure there is no redirection set up upon the desired link.

  Once the WordPress resolves the issue or removes any restrictions, please try to initiate the migration once again

  Hi there,

  That appears to be the URL for the current Wix site. What is the URL of the WordPress.com site that you trying to import over to Wix?

  The method that Wix has described is something that would work with a self-hosted WordPress.org site, which is different than your site here on WordPress.com — here is information about the differences between the two here: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

  I would let Wix know you’re on WordPress.com not on a self-hosted WordPress.org site, and that they might want to check the WordPress.com developer documentation here to see if there’s a fix they can deploy on their end: https://developer.wordpress.com/docs/api/
