exporting xml from expired domain

  Hi guys,

  I have a domain that expired, in which I purchased through WordPress.com. I would like to export my XML file from that WordPress, but it is no longer available since I forgot to pay for it. Is there a way I can export the XML file to get my content back? I don’t want that specific domain anymore — so will I have to pay for it again in order to make this possible?

  By the way I hosted my website with Hostgator (I don’t know if that’ll make a difference).

  Yes it makes a big difference

  You need to make friends with Hostgator and maybe they have an old backup they will send you. They should have some sort of backup of your files – how far back they go or if they will dig the files out and how much it will cost are all things that only Hostgator can answer. None of your files are here.
