Exports posts and pages only

  Using the WP import/exporter I exported posts and pages for inclusion in a replacement site. However, I find that somehow all the custom fields on the old site have also been imported. How can I stop this from happening? Some of these custom fields are for WooCommerce products and are nothing to do with posts or pages as such.
