Expound theme doesn't look like it should be
-
Hi,
I just register my first blog 2 days ago, and have a problem with expound theme. I would like it to appear like on the demo, one post on the front and 4 others bellow, all with featured images.
I don’t understand why it doesn’t work on mine, I added featured image for each of my first 5 post (I published a total of 6) and made them “sticky”.
thanks for your help,
Bruno

@ brruuno,
With the Expound theme, whether the front page excerpts of the second through fifth featured posts appear in a row or stacked on top of each other is dependent upon the width of the viewing screen. They display stacked with both the latest Firefox and Google Chrome browsers on my 12″ X 9″ monitor, but form a row if I zoom out one click. -
I’m editing with an asus laptop on a 10,1″ screen size and the latest version of Firefox. What you pointed of both of you is true, when i scroll back the zoom at 90%, it appears in a row, side by side as I want. But when it turn on 100%, which is the regular standart for anyone, articles appear stacked on top of each other.
So I hope it’s because of my too narrow laptop screen. How do you see it ?
thanks -
@brruno, my computer screen is rather small, at 100% both my and your blog’s home page shows the featured posts stacked on top of each other. (I use Expound, too).
When I zoom out one click the featured posts line up side by side. (I don’t know how much %–I just do “control” and click on “-” )
It seems that “100%” displays differently depending on the size of your screen.I would actually prefer my featured posts to always be stacked on top of each other, regardless of screen size, because I only want to highlight two of my past posts, not four of them… But if I only feature two, on a wide screen there’s a big ugly blank white space where the “missing” two featured posts would be.
-
correction: I wasn’t counting the highest featured post that is bigger and at the top of the screen. Of the remaining 4 possible featured posts, I only want to have two, but on wider screens these line up side by side with a big empty white space next to them.
