Expound Theme – How to add pictures as shown in the template?

The Expound Theme template shows pictures on the home page. I do not understand how to add the big picture at the top or how to add the pictures to show the past posts.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

With Expound, you can easily add your own Custom Header image under Appearance → Header

Featured Images should be a minimum of 460 wide x 260 high.

I understood the above instructions was for the header at the very top of the post not for the “big picture”. I’m knew to this and wanting the same results. Also is this setting for both a post and page?

makeitpersonal1 – you are correct. I do not need to know how to change the header picture at the very top. I want the pictures that I add to the blog to show when the website is published and they do not show.
So, I need to know what I am doing wrong. I go to blog post, upload a picture, key text, publish, but the pictures do not display.

@sobbnow, I have Expound. The image for each post that shows on the homepage is called a “featured image”– it’s different from the images you upload into your post. You have to set a featured image within each post in order to have it show up for it on the homepage.
I use the oldstyle “classic editor” so if you use the new, default editor I’m not sure where the “set featured image” section shows up for you. In the old, classic editor it’s at the bottom of the right sidebar, totally separate from the section where you enter text and upload images to your post. You have to click “set featured image”, then it will ask you to choose an image from your media files OR upload one.
Apparently the image will look best if its this size: 460 x 260 pixels.

PS, check the link timethief gave you above, and read there about how to set “featured images” they explain it better than I do! As it says, be sure to click “SAVE” on your post after setting the featured image!

sobbnow – are you all set? I see featured images displayed with the main featured post as well as the three posts below that one.
