Extending title across widget area

  I’ve styled a green band behind the title on my site but the text doesn’t follow the band, it wraps below and looks kind of stupid. Is there a way to get the text to flow above the sidebar/widget area?

  Hi, this will widen the title area to the right edge of the slideshow in the sidebar.

  h1.page-title {
      padding-right: 9972rem;
  }
