  Hi,

  I have purchased hosting space. I want to redirect all visitors to new blog. How do I do it ?

  Hello, It appears you’ve sorted out the redirection. When I visited elecrom.wordpress.com (I guessed that was your blog based on the domain you listed) it redirected me to elecrom.com.

  Hello,

  This was the old scenario. My blog is hosted at “elecrom.wordpress.com” and “elecrom.com” was a new domain.

  Now, yesterday I have purchased hosting space from iPage and setup new wordpress installation on the host. Now, I want all the visitors who will be going to : elecrom.wordpress.com (through old links) should get redirected to “elecrom.com” hosted on iPage. This is where I am confused.

  I have already changed DNS of “elecrom.com” to “ns1.ipage.com/ns2.ipage.com”. Still, I keep on seeing my old blog and not the new one.

  Please help.

  Let me clarify further. This is the current scenario:

  1) domain “elecrom.com” is purchased from godaddy. Nameservers are pointing to:
  NS1.IPAGE.COM
  NS2.IPAGE.COM

  2) New blog is hosted at “iPage” and in the ipage control panel, I can see the new domain “elecrom.com”.

  3) Old blog resides at “elecrom.wordpress.com”. I want to make old blog private and redirect all the visitors of this address to “elecrom.com” (new blog on iPage). How do I do this ?

  Thanks for the clarification. Last night when I visited elecrom.wordpress.com and elecrom.com they both went to elecrom.com so all appeared to be as you wanted. But this morning, they both go to elecrom.wordpress.com. It looks like a domain mapping issue that a staff member may need to sort out. I’ve tagged this post for their review.

  Hi Omkar.

  I’m now able to view your new iPage site at elecrom.com. :) The delay may have been due to time for the new changes to your domain to propagate throughout the web. If you’re still having trouble viewing your new site at that domain, then try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.

  I can see that you also have a domain mapping subscription through us so that visitors to elecrom.wordpress.com are redirected to elecrom.com. Would you like to keep that subscription in place? If not, I’ll be happy to cancel and refund the $13 to you. Just let me know.
