External hyperlinks not getting to site

  my external hyperlinked urls get a word error “cannot be accessed by the server or proxy server’

  Hi there,

  Could you let me know a sample page here from your blog that has those wrong hyperlinked URLs? I’d be glad to take a look into why that’s happening.

  I took a quick look into your blog and couldn’t find any links that weren’t working so far.

  thank you for your response and for looking into the blog I really appreciate your time.
  a sample page that I’ve been hyperlinking is https://brendaaddie.com/biography-c.v/.
  it seems that it is a microsoft word issue in that when i include the link in a word doc as a hyperlink and then click on it the following error comes up: ” unable to open https://brendaaddie.com/biography-c.v/. Cannot locate the Internet server or proxy server. Microsoft Word” This has also happened to other people when using the links from a word doc.
  i can see now that it is not the link but do you know how to resolve the hyperlink not working in a word doc issue?

  Hi Brenda,

  Thanks for your update and the clarification.

  I’m afraid I might not have much solutions to the link not working inside Microsoft Word since I don’t have one to test myself; but a quick search points out several people do have similar issues with it.

  Are you able to right click, edit the hyperlink on the document manually and see if the updated link works? You can try with other links and not just the one from your blog to see if it makes any difference.
