Hi there,
What’s the post or title you’re working on so I can have a look and see if it can be done with some HTML code?
-
From original poster — it’s my new family blog:

The post is in draft. It won’t center or add caption. (I had to enter a text caption below the photo which displays off-center.)
I did try to add the HTML center code, but only the code and URL displayed in Visual mode — not the image.

Can you clarify how you inserted that image? Did you use the “Add Media” link in the Classic Block toolbar? If so, your image should show alignment options when it’s selected.

On your post draft, the only thing that pops up is the pencil (edit) icon and the x icon to remove the image.
Could you try deleting that image and adding it again using the “Add Media” button in the Classic Block toolbar and see if you get those alignment options?
Let us know if you still have trouble!

As I noted, the image was inserted via an external link to Flickr. This is to avoid filling up space in the Media File which means those controls do not work as the image is not stored there.

The screenshot I provided I used your Flickr URL and added the image via URL using the Add Media button. I’ve created an animated GIF to show what I did:
Can you try inserting that image again using the workflow shown in that GIF and let us know if you still have trouble? Thanks!

That is awesome. What I did was paste the URL in the text editor. This is great. I no longer have to worry about filling up the media library. Thank you.
