External Image not loading
-
In my page https://miyakoscanner.wordpress.com/scan/
I have a load an external image, but under the text Scan the image is not loaded.
It looks like the image URL has been cut after the ? char
https://i1.wp.com/bigcharts.marketwatch.com/kaavio.Webhost/charts/big.chartWhen I work in page editor everything is as expected and the image is loaded and visible. it is only in publish mode the image is not visible.
here is the intended IGM URL
<img src=”http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/kaavio.Webhost/charts/big.chart?nosettings=1&symb=crmd&uf=0&type=4&size=2&sid=4870062&style=320&freq=1&entitlementtoken=0c33378313484ba9b46b8e24ded87dd6&time=7&rand=1674720277&compidx=aaaaa%3a0&ma=0&maval=9&lf=1&lf2=0&lf3=0&height=335&width=579&mocktick=1″ alt=”” width=”579″ height=”335″ />
when I work on my local server at home the images works fine.
is it not allowed or something else on your wordpress.com servers?

Hi there. I tried inserting this image link on my test blog and it also displays in the visual editor, but not in the preview.
I’ll tag this for staff to follow up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and be patient while waiting.

Hi
I tested converting the URL to a tinyURL.
http://tinyurl.com/o4aabtmResult: it works in modes; editor, preview and publish.
So it seems that it could be a URL parsing issue?

Hello there,
I am not seeing this URL as an embeddable image type, which is why it doesn’t appear to be embedded in your live site.
WordPress.com-supported image file types are:
.jpg
.jpeg
.png
.gifAre you able to attain a URL with one of those extensions, or save the chart as an image and load it into your media library to embed on your site? You can always embed the image, and link back to the source URL, if you’d like.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much!
