External link in page title

    [don’t let my blog’s URL http://groksurf.com/ mislead, I’m indeed a WP-hosted blog]

At my blog I made an empty page consisting solely of an html link to an external website (the page appears as “San Diego” on the blog and when you click it, it goes to that website instead of the empty WP page. The page title field looks like this:

    [a href=”http://members.cox.net/gjanczyn/index5.html”]San Diego[/a]

(square brackets here to avoid problems displaying the code)

That works just fine. My problem is when I try doing this with additional pages, the page title displays okay on the blog but it links to the empty WP page rather than the link’s address in the title field.

At one point I contacted WP support and the reply was that it should work, but issue never resolved.

Does anybody have experience with this and/or have a suggestion?

    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You probably tried it with single words as link text. This trick only works if the link text includes a space (so “San Diego” is ok); if it has to be a single word, make it word plus space.

@panaghiotisadam Thank you! That’s the solution!
