External Linking

  I follow the steps to link a picture or phrase by entering the URL and selecting for it to open in a new window. The link continues to default to a new internal page, as opposed to an external link. Suggestions?

  try checking the link again to see if the url inserted is correct. or rewrite the link again. sometimes wrong links happen for some reason or other…

  do I have to press the code button in order to make the link connect to an external site? IT just returns to my blog with the word I use as if it was a tag word. Very mysterious.

  Highlight the text you want to use in the post and then click on the link button in the visual tool bar (linked chain links) and put in your URL.
