  How can I add an external link to my page, please? Of cours I can copy and write e.g.

  “You can find all information here: http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Portada”

  but I should like to write only

  “You can find all information in the Spanish Wikipedia”

  I mean the way we proceed when editing an article on the Wikipedia:

  [[http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Portada|Spanish Wikipedia]]

  This is the very page I have seen, but I don’t manage to do it, the link simply doesn’t appear. I should like to know why it happens. In your answer you are using the way I want to avoid:

  I agree with you it is a very basic feature, but it seems neither me nor you (can) use it. I consider this topic not resolved.

  Have a look at my blog to see if I (can) use it. In this forum URLs become links automatically, so in my answer I used the way you want to avoid because it’s faster.
  Read the instructions and try again. If you don’t manage to do it, link to the post in which you tried it so we can check and tell you what you’ve done wrong.
