  Hey can anyone recommend a good external web counter for wordpress that doesn’t invlove a plug-in download? I operate behind a tight firewall at work where downloads are not permitted, so the counter must be entirely web-based,

  Not only that, but plugins can’t be used at WP.com.

  Try Sitemeter.com or Statcounter.com.
