Extra dashes in my published posts

I’ve been posting for two years now. Just recently all my published posts have extra dashes – – – appearing. The dash appears whereever I’ve placed an extra “space”.
I ignored it because I was sure that WordPress would fix it naturally. But…..it’s time that it is fixed no matter HOW it happens.
I’d appreciate any insight. Thank YOU!!!

I just checked your blog and did not see any post with the extra dashes.
Could point us (or provide a screenshot) to an example where the dash appears?

Do you also see those dashes in all of your past articles?
The dash appears wherever I’ve placed an extra “space”.
So you did manually add an extra “space”, and not referring to the space caused by the Justify formatting, right?
This is really odd, I’ll put a modlook tag to get the attention of a staff who will have more visibility on the backend of your blog.

I’m seeing the dashes in your edit view as well as the published view of your most recent post. If you remove the dashes from the editor and save do they stay gone?

Thank you so much for all of your kindness!! The dashes do not appear in my dashboard “edit” page. And they never ever used to appear there. It began a bit after the new year. I also noticed yesterday that the dashes do not appear on my phone or tablet screens….only on my laptop screen. That’s good news. But it’s frustrating because I work hard to have all appear clean. Here is a copy paste of a paragraph from my last post:
Simply said….we are the sacred ones who bring form to the formless!! We are the ones who direct universal energy into manifest energy. And……….we are doing so naturally!! It’s all part of the intelligent design that naturally is!!
OMG…..the dashes are not there!! That’s too freaky. So maybe no one else sees them. I’ll check a different pc now. ((going away to check))) No. The dashes can be seen on all pc’s.
It has to be programming. I also just checked posts from 2 years ago. The dashes are mysteriously there too. I can’t imagine that I’m the only one experiencing this.
I’m in no rush…..but I would love to one day wake up dash-free. ♥

Thanks for the extra explanation, and the specific paragraph to check. The good news is the dashes don’t show everywhere. It’s a Chrome only problem. It’s also font specific. If you choose a different font, the dashes will go away. If you do decide to change your font, be aware your current font, Eigerdals, has been retired so if you switch you won’t be able to switch back.
The bad news is this is a problem with Chrome (which we’ve reported) but we aren’t able to fix it on the WordPress.com end.
I’m in no rush…..but I would love to one day wake up dash-free. ♥
I expect that will happen eventually, even if you do nothing, but I can’t give you a timeline. If you’d like to control when that day comes, find another font that works for you :)

Thank you my beautiful friend!!! Understanding of “why” brings me great Peace. Now I have choices to make. Lol If it’s retired….it’s certainly time to switch and not resist. But….I’ll take this moment to also lovingly express that we need more fonts to choose from!!!!!! (((Smile)))
