'extra lines' when I used the "blockquote" button

  I could be wrong, but it always seem like I have and extra “line” or “return” after I used the blockquote function. In other words, it looks like there is too much space above and below the quote.

  Any I doing something wrong? And how do I fix it (that is, how do I have less space)?

  Hello there!

  This is the default manner in which your theme’s designer’s have set blockquotes to display. You can view this by going to the theme’s demo page and scrolling to the post called, “A Short Post.”

  You are doing nothing wrong at all!

  If you don’t find this aesthetically pleasing, perhaps another theme would display blockquote in a manner that you like:
  http://theme.wordpress.com/

  Each theme will display standard WordPress.com features in a different manner, depending on the taste of the developer.
