extra white band above menu on page refresh

  Hi,

  When I refresh any page or post on my site with the browser refresh, an extra band appears above the menu.

  If I navigate to the page / post with the menu, it doesn’t happen or goes away.

  I tried this CSS, which worked once, but then stopped working.

  .navigation-top {
  border-bottom-color: transparent;
  border-top-color: transparent;
  padding: 2px;
  }

  This happens on all pages expect the home page – on that page on refresh, the site logo moves higher, and repositions correctly if you click on the logo or the home menu.

  This happens on Safari, but not on Google Chrome. Those are the only 2 browsers I’ve tested.

  Hi, that white band is the space allotted for the top admin bar, which appears to be loading a bit slowly. I can’t think of a way to keep that from happening, but you might try the following. It will keep that top area black while the admin bar loads.

    background-color: #000;
  }

  Hmmm, I’m not seeing that code in your custom CSS right now. Can you add it back in and let me take a look?

  Sorry @thesacredpath, I took it out because it didn’t work. I just put it back in.

  Is this the same code to fix the logo moving up and down on refresh as well?

  Hi, it’s working for me. The band at the top is black instead of white which makes it far less noticeable that the Admin bar has not loaded. I tested in Safari, Firefox and in Chrome and have the same results in each.

  Try clearing your browser cache and then try again. It may be that your browser is pulling from the cache instead of grabbing the new files.

  That’s strange @thesacredpath. I emptied my cache, but it’s still not working for me. It’s ok. If it works for others, I can deal.
