  At the first page of my website http://www.lydpoesi.wordpress.no, I want to show my post only as an extract.. five lines or so. And in one of my posts at this site (“Kinamann”) it works. But I am not able to remember what I did/how I should do this. All best, Øystein H.

  The exact term is “Excerpt”! Generally this feature is theme dependent. There are a few themes, which automatically support excerpt function. The categorized list is here: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/25/the-excerpt-function/
  This can also be done manually using excerpt .

  The More Tag can also be used to show only part of a Post:

  Sorry I missed that: with staff away there are a lot of modlooks to keep track of so I don’t always make it through the whole list before I have to tend to my “real life.”
