Facebook ad link

  I have a Facebook page that is running an ad with a link to my wordpress site, but the link from Facebook doesn’t open the wordpress site correctly. It opens a page that says, Your connection is not private
  Attackers might be trying to steal your information from the site.
  This doesn’t happen if I go to the site directly, only when I use the link from the facebook ad. If I use the link on the Facebook page, it opens the page correctly. Is there a reason the link in the ad doesn’t work, but the link on the page does? They should be the same link (copied and pasted).

  Hi there, in this case, make sure that the link is going to https://mottecc.wordpress.com/ (or to whichever page you choose, the key is to use https:// not http:// )

  We do have the correct link with https:// at the beginning.
  The strange thing is we have the exact same link on a different page and it works, but on the Facebook ad it doesn’t.
  We’ve also contacted Facebook to see if the issue is with them and we’re waiting to get a resolution on their end.

  I was about to suggest reaching out to Facebook as it may be an issue on their end. https://mottecc.wordpress.com/ is indeed the correct URL to use – however, let us know what Facebook says and we’ll go from there.
