Facebook again
-
Dear WordPress,
it really seems that History repeats itself: Facebook banned my WP blog again but, as happened last month, there’s nothing “offensive” in it.
You didn’t answer me in February, so I don’t know if you’ll be willing to do it in March, but I really think you should take a stand, even if it would be “It’s not our business”.
I want to know why I have to bear this aggression and why WordPress can be smeared and stay silent. I have done nothing shameful and I didn’t hurt anybody, so I’m completely sick of Facebook’s attitude and feel failed by you. Please, say something. Maria G. Good morning,
Maria, you are understandably frustrated. Please know that we collecting this data and reviewing it. I’ve added your site to that list.
The best thing that you can do is to contact Facebook support directly. Let them know that you’ve been blocked and do not know why. There’s no obvious reason, I agree with you there.
Some folks have had luck by taking the position of, “I can’t pay for Facebook ads on my page because you continue blocking me for no reason” when contacting Facebook support.

Thank you for answering me and for your work. I don’t have a FB account, so I wrote to their legal office and asked for this to stop; they answered too: my case is n. 2488242 and I have to wait to see how it will be processed. In the meantime, they have lifted the ban. But if this will happen again I will go all the way to sue them. I know I’m a very small David but sometimes, they say, a Goliath or two fall. Thanks again, MG Di Rienzo

Thank you Maria. If they tell you something was wrong with the site, will you please update us here? We haven’t been able to figure out yet why some sites are being banned. It seems arbitrary on this end.

Of course I will, but I assure you again that I checked my contents with FB standards and I’m not violating anything. Also, I have just found that in Italy a great number of WordPress blogs similar to mine, hosted by women, are being banned by FB: the national magazine “L’Espresso” is putting up a press report about it in these hours. Let’s keep in touch, Maria G. Di Rienzo
