Facebook and Instagram links and embeds?

  Hi, I would be SO grateful for your help please!
  I understand that Facebook and Instagram links and embeds will stop working 24 October. I’m not sure what that means.
  Please would you let me know if it will affect my site, which is here – https://theoakswestsussex.wordpress.com/
  If it will affect me, please would you let me know what i should do – thank you so much in advance. Your advice is so well appreciated.

  Hi there,

  If I can ask, where did you hear that? We were informed of Facebook’s deprication (retirement) of the API that allows embeds, but they have provided an alternate method we can use to connect, so all Facebook and Instagram embeds will continue to work after Oct 24.

  The outage they are referring to is not related to all embeds, but specifically to embeds that use the older API method, which we have already addressed on our platform.

  The short version is: You are all set, nothing to worry about. :)
