Facebook App

I’ve been trying to figure out how to get the WordPress App icon to show up on my Facebook Page. When I go to Facebook and follow their instructions it tells me to search for the app (wordpress), so I did (several times) but every time I click on the WordPress app it redirects me to a WordPress page where it wants me to create another blog…I don’t want to create another blog I just want the app for my current blog to show up on my FB page. Any help is much appreciated.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Do you mean you want to import your blog posts into Facebook? You can use a wide variety of apps to do that. I use Networked Blogs, but some people use RSS Graffitti and some use Notes. Don’t use the FB WP app; it just doesn’t work well.

Thank you for your response. What I’m actually trying to acheive is to have a WordPress icon located on the left side of my Facebook page so my fans can click the icon/button and automatically be linked to my blog. Otherwise they have to scroll down through the different posts and oftentimes the link gets lost and I have to keep reposting on my wall. Does this make sense? I’ve seen the WordPress Icon on other pages and was hoping I could add the same feature. Is this the app you are referring to that does not work well? Is there another app I could use that will redirect to WordPress? Thanks again for your time.

Hmmm, no that’s not what I was talking about at all. You could use something like this though:

Thank you for the link…I believe this is for setting up pages on Facebook though…there is no feature for a WordPress icon. Although it was very helpful in allowing me to set up a welcome page, I’m still trying to figure out how to get the wordpress “W” to show up on the left side of my Facebook Page in my App list so my fans can link to my blog by clicking on it. Hopefully I’ll be able to figure this out. Thanks for your time.

You can use the same thing to put the WP icon on your post. I believe under Info on Facebook, you can add HTML so all you need to do is build a text widget, copy the code, and paste it in there.

I already have the link of my blog in my info…but people have to go into the info in order to find it. I’m referring to a seperate “W” icon that can be listed on the left side of the page along with “Wall”, “Info”, “Photos”, “Notes”. I’ve already tried to find info on how to add a widget to my facebook page, but facebook only has info on how to put a facebook page widget on your website or blog. I want a WordPress widget/app on my Facebook page…I’ve seen other pages have them. It’s crazy I can’t figure this out! lol I sincerely appreciate your help, but I’m still trying to find the answer.

No, I mean:
You must write it in HTML. Then put it in the information for that FB Page or profile. Put the actual HTML in the information box and it should turn up in the sidebar.
