Facebook badge slows site?

  Ever since I have added the Facebook badge to my sidebar, I notice that there is an appreciable drop in my traffic. I am guessing it has to do with the site opening slower…not sure, but conjecture. Is it only me or have any of you experienced the same? Any wise words for me? :)

  Hi. Your Facebook badge loads very quickly for me, so the “drop of traffic” you are describing might be caused by other problem(s).

  Are your posts being copied to your Wall on Facebook? Via RSS Graffiti or by jmporting your blog?

  If so, the drop in traffic may be attributed to readers getting the content on Facebook and not having to come to your site.
