facebook blocking files.wordpress as spam

posted my blog page to facebook last night and had it deleted. try to like on my blog and facebook saying it is a blocked address for being spammy or dangerous. What’s up with this? don’t want to waste time with wordpress if my content is blocked from being shared.

My wordpress posts have been blocked as well. Someone at wordpress needs to talk to facebook folks and find out what the hell is going on. I’ve been posting my wordpress content for well over a year now and never had an issue. I’ll move off of wordpress if it keeps up.

Yes, I will have to move off wordpress too if this cannot be resolved. Sucks since I really like what I’ve done here and total waste if it can’t be shared on facebook.
I complained to facebook as well, but doubt I’ll get a response.
Is WordPress a competitor to Facebook or affiliated with Google in some way?

I got a boilerplate response from Facebook, so don’t get your hopes up. It must be an algorithm glitch. WordPress and Facebook folks will have to sort this one out, is my best guess.

The block is definitely Facebook’s end, and we’re trying to work with them to resolve this.

This should be all fixed up now, though it may take some time for Facebook to return to the old Publicized posts to your wall.

This is not resolved. Today FB blocked my wordpress blog and removed any links to my blog I had posted in the past few weeks. I emailed them and they say they can’t respond to my issue.

When I manually post a link to facebook, a message comes up telling me the image in the link has been identified as spammy or dangerous.

I posted things fine this morning before 7 am. Then everything disappeared (even posts from yesterday). Seems like it’s the same glitch as happened last week.

1. post manually
2. use Networked Blogs
3. use RSS Grafitti -

Nerts! How annoying this is. I hope that 1 of the other 2 alternatives work for you. This thread has been flagged for Staff attention.

Posting manually only works if you’re just including the url in the status update. If you try to link with an image you get the window with what I described above. I’ve given up on publicize.

Oooohhhh!!! Well, bummer. Because the images are a big part of drawing people to click on the link. Hope it can get worked out soon. I’ve already wasted too much of my time on this today.

The workaround to that is uploading the photo, then putting the link to the post in the description. But then, who likes doing three steps when you could just do one…

I shortened the link using bit.ly and reposted manually. It seemed to work….at least, it works for now. Hopefully they won’t take it down.
