Facebook Connect: what’s an alternative to iframes/javascript?

I’m trying to insert a Facebook fan box on my blog, but because WordPress(.com) doesn’t allow javascript or iframes, the applicable Facebook coding for the fan box doesn’t work….does anyone know about an alternative way around this?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

As far as I know there is no alternative for facebook connect.

Ditto! I’d like to make it easier for people to “fan” me, and the Facebook app allows them to do it in one click. Count me in, inquiring minds want to know.

Me, too. Can’t get the iframe/javascript to work. If I buy the CSS upgrade, will it work then?

@a3davis, no the CSS upgrade has nothing to do with allowing code that is not allowed due to security concerns.

From the support site about code: “JavaScript from trusted partners, such as YouTube and Google Video, is converted into a WordPress shortcode when a post is saved.”
