Facebook Connections

I have been using Facebook to connect to those that read my posts for several years now. However for some strange reason, after not posting any posts in the past year, I decide to start posting once again (which I have) yet, I noticed that where it says “Facebook” in “Connections”, it currently says “Inconnect”. When I try to click on Connect, it asks for my account (which I enter) and the password (which says is incorrect). (NOTE: I use a Password Manager, so I know the password is correct and yet Facebook says the account and password is not correct.)

How can I get this rectified, as I am in the Outlook.com Site and it currently shows the WordPress.com email address that I have been using all these years and unsure why Facebook doesn’t recognize this account, when it is a valid account. (NOTE: The other day, it asked for me to verify the account that I was using, referring to another Facebook Account and everything shows that it’s correct.)

So, I am at a loss as to why I can’t link my WordPress.com site to the correct Facebook Account number. Has there been anyone on this site, that had a similar problem, as this is driving me nuts!

I physically went into the Facebook Referral Page that I have been using all this time that has been correctly linked to WordPress and manually entered all the posts that I recently created, so those that see my Facebook Referral Page, can read the subject titles that I posted and can go to my WordPress Blogsite to read what I have written.

Any help will greatly be appreciated.

  • Hello there

    Many thanks for reaching out.

To check – are you used to seeing your posts posted to the Facebook profile, instead of a Facebook page?

The reason why I ask is because Facebook removed the ability for third parties to post on profiles, but maintained posting to a page.

If you’re pasting a page, do you have a link to the page that’s being posted to?

    Many thanks.

    Thanks for you response!

Shortly after I asked my question, I created a new Facebook Referral Page (with the same name and same photo but a different URL) and, was able to connect with my newly created Facebook Page. Much to my surprise, when I visited it this morning, all my posts that I have posted in the past week, are now sitting on my new Facebook Page. So, It’s my intention to discard the former Facebook Referral Page that I used to use and continue on with the new Facebook Referral Page for everyone to review.

So, this issue is now apparently resolved.

    Respectfully,
