Facebook counter reset??
-
Hi –
Just happened to notice that my FB counters have all reset. Almost all my posts are now reset at zero FB shares, which is a real bummer — most were in the hundreds, and many were in the thousands or even hundreds of thousands, and that was a really nice way to showcase that traffic. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Here’s an example of one that was reset to 0:

Hi @imissyouwheniblink, Facebook didn’t recognize your change to https yet. Here’s how I fixed it for this post. First I went here:
https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/
Then I pasted the URL for this post and clicked “Fetch new scrape information.”
When I refreshed your page, the correct number showed up. Unfortunately there’s no easy way to do this in bulk, but Facebook should eventually scrape new information on its own, or you’re welcome to force it on your own like we did in this case by pasting a link to each post and fetching new information for it. I hope that helps.

Hello. Did you ever find out about the issue you posted at ‘Facebook-share count suddenly dropped/disappeared – yikes!’? The topic is now closed, but I had the same issue with five posts made during a week long span. One of which was important for attracting new partners. Any answers out there?

@supernovia … this is on a WordPress.org site; I am pretty sure it’s an issue on the Facebook side; but it’s obviously the same problem that @missyouwheniblink had. But that topic was closed… unresolved as far as I can tell.

@pedalingnowhere we wouldn’t be able to do as much here, but you might try the same suggestion I gave @imissyouwheniblink .
