Facebook disconnected

I connected my blog to facebook a month ago and it worked perfectly. my facebook friends would get notified that I’d made a new blogpost on WordPress.
Suddenly two weeks ago, on the right side of my editing window for new blog posts it said I “must allow connection to Facebook for users to be notified.”
I’ve clicked this link numerous times, and gone through the process of “allowing” access to my facebook, but it never works now. my wall on facebook is not updated with my new blog post. and this “must allow connection to Facebook thing” just won’t go away or work
why did it break and how do i fix it?

This is happening to me too. It used to be connected, but today it’s not. I go through the process of authorizing WP and then it comes back to the sharing page and the facebook block is disconnected and says: Error – Unable to use Facebook Page account.

Go back to dashboard > my blogs, click the “facebook” box under the blog and go through the authorize process there and see if that works. You might have to uncheck it and the check it again.

On thing to keep in mind is that facebook and many others are now going to expiring tokens instead of the old way of doing things with cookies and such for security reasons, so you cannot stay logged in forever anymore on most of them. That means that you will likely have to reauthorize connections to facebook on a regular basis. What that interval is, I have no idea.

Thank you, thesacredpath, for your suggestions, however it’s still not working. I also get this message in pink: Facebook Page-only accounts can not be used at this time.
What is a Facebook Page-only account? The facebook page I’m trying to link to is a facebook website page.

I worked it out! Ya! Go to Publicize in Support, then go to Reconnecting Facebook and follow those instructions. Now I’m connected …
