Facebook does not use image from post or features image

    I hope you can help me. I have been reading on the forum but can’t seem to find what I am looking for.
    I am having trouble with images when sharing my posts to Facebook. Since a few days, when I share a post to my facebook page the preview image that facebook uses is all wrong. Facebook does not use an image from my blog post itself or the featured image that I set. In stead it uses my general header image from my blog or the WordPress logo.
    What am I doing wrong? Is the problem with facebook or is there something wrong with my blog? My blog is http://www.itsallinanutshell.com

    Whenever I try to send my blogpost to Facebook it shows as a blank image. I’ve been trying to see what’s going on but I haven’t found any answers as of yet.

    I’m afraid this is on Facebook’s end. When WordPress.com publicizes a post to Facebook all it actually does is to send Facebook the link. Facebook’s software then looks at that link and search for any images on that page before deciding which image to use in the preview. While WordPress.com tries to “suggest” Facebook uses the featured image, Facebook makes the final choice and they don’t always get it right. For example, if you have a video in your post you’ll often find Facebook shows the video instead of your featured image.

    Something that could help is flushing your Facebook cache by entering your site’s URL in the Facebook debugger. This will force Facebook to re-scan your post for which image to use.     I tried sharing your latest post on http://brit4uk.wordpress.com/ to Facebook and it displayed the preview along with your blog header just fine, so the problem might be with your browser. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

    Also see the link I gave above regarding the image thumbnails.

    Thank you for your reply. I cleared the FB cache on all relevant posts and like you said, you need to do it several times, but now it seems to be right. Thank you for your help! Silly FB….
