Facebook embed not working

  I’ve tried to follow the instructions for embedding a Facebook post in my WordPress post, but it does not work.

  Strangely, the example URL given on that how-to page works fine in my WordPress. But when I tried to put an identical-looking link from my own Facebook newsfeed into the post, nothing happens. I checked all my Facebook settings and as far as I can tell, I’m not preventing embedding on that end.

  What am I missing?

  @fergushodgson — That’s a link to the video on Facebook, rather than a link to the post the video was shared in. You can embed the video post with this link instead:

  @fergushodgson — You can get that link directly from the timestamp on the post on your Facebook timeline at https://www.facebook.com/bernardovidigal/ (using the steps on our Facebook Embeds page). You can also click the “Embed Post” link underneath that video and get the link from the timestamp on that post.

  While the first code was not working, if you go down to the wordpress section on Facebook, you get to here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/embedded-video-player#wordpress. And the second option has worked. Success! :)
