Facebook Fan Box Alternative

  Hello,

  I am trying to add a facebook fan box on my wordpress.com site which is http://stupidDOPE.com Since WordPress.com does not allow Java I was wondering if anyone knows of a different way to do this? My fan page is http://facebook.com/stupidDOPE thank you! Please email me at [Email Removed] if you have a fix.

  What does the widget do? If you provide specifics and details then we may be able to provide a workaround.

  @dunnellontoday Please reframe from posting email addresses in the public forum because spam bots will harvest the emails for their dirty work. So I went ahead and removed the email for you.

  There is an html alternative on this Facebook wiki. It does mean you have to work out where to put your FB page name (which I am still trying to do!)

  I’ve just tried the advice on the wiki but it’s too complicated for me and I just get a disappointing line of text and a link in my side bar. Any suggestions please.

  … A basic understanding of HTML, so you can edit the pages on your website where you want to place the Fan Box

  We cannot access and edit our templates and themes on wordpress.com blogs. Consequently this widget is a no go.
