facebook: featured image sometimes doesn't appear when I share

  A few weeks ago I started getting a blank box on facebook instead of my featured image when I share my blog post. This happens randomly about a third of the time. My images are scanned at 72 dpi. I’m not doing anything different. Could it be something facebook is doing?

  This is probably Facebook’s fault, yes. They choose the image to show with shared posts and WordPress.com has no direct control over this.

  What usually helps is to flush your Facebook cache. Instructions to do that here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/facebook-image-thumbnail/#image-thumbnail-problems-faq

  Thanks for the reply. I also discovered that one of my photos that didn’t get posted was less than 200 x 200 pixels.

  If the image is too small that might be the problem, yes.
