Facebook grabbing the wrong image for posts
-
I’ve just launched the site (it has been private while I was setting up) and all is good except that Facebook persists in using the wrong images for shared posts.
I’ve looked at the Facebook debugger and it says “Provided og:image could not be downloaded or is not big enough. Please use an image that’s at least 200x200px ” The image in this case was 1024×800… *rolls eyes*
I’ve also noticed that sometimes (especially when using the share buttons on the post) it just grabs the top level of the site (i.e. Claire Bickle is on WordPress) rather than the lede of the post that I’m sharing.
I know how to manually change these post things myself, but Claire and her fans wouldn’t be able to do that so any help rectifying this will be very much appreciated.

Please read these tips http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#images-in-publicize
We have no control over the images that Facebook chooses to display or when they choose to flush their image caches. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include.

Thanks Timethief! I did have a look around and found the support document.
I’ll check those other links now.
I haven’t had this problem before so I was wondering if it might be a bug with the 2014 theme (which is gorgeous!) or somehow related to Claire’s site being switch from private to public.
