Facebook Integration not coming to WordPress.com

Out of burning curiousity, I contacted staff with regards to the exciting new Facebook integration feature and got told “this specific plugin isn’t available on WordPress.com. However, I have just passed this along to our team as a suggestion for future updates so that we can look into incorporating any of the features that aren’t currently available on WordPress.com.”

As someone who makes a living off the social network environment, this is not something I welcome. Quite the contrary.

Actually, that’s currently what’s happening right now though you left out LinkedIn. I’m not stressed out by all this because I rely on email notification – beautiful and extinct Eudora Pro routes all my Gmails via POP3 into my Inbox offline and filters them accordingly.
